The Food Fests draw crowds to the Ellwood Mattson Lower Harbor Park. The International Food Festival is generally held around Independence Day. The Seafood Festival -- which I avoid like the plague -- usually takes place Labor Day weekend.
As this was only the first day of the Food Fest, the crowds weren't too bad. Today and tonight, though, there will hardly be room to move around. Marquette's fireworks display will be held this evening, which will draw even more of a crowd.
