Little Pinecones

While I was out playing with my new zoom lens yesterday, I crossed paths with a man from Lower Michigan. When he saw my new Nikon with the new lens, he struck up a conversation about lenses and such. He had a N90 and mentioned he'd like to move up to the D80 because he thinks his current lenses would still work with that model. When I told him a lot of the D60 and D80 lenses would also work with my D40, he walked over to his car, pulled out a small wideangle/macro lens and let me try it out. The automatic focus didn't work, but it was still fun to play around with the manual focus. This is one of the shots I took with his lens.
Stupid me, though, didn't even ask for a name -- nor did I tell him mine. So.....THANKS, TRAVERSE CITY DUDE! heh heh
Incidentally, yesterday's shot was taken using my new Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG Macro lens. I need to get a UV filter though -- most of yesterday's shots looked rather washed out. It's funny how, now that I have a DSLR, I'm learning how to use it so much faster than I'd expected.
