Young Family

Finally, another update on the teen couple and their baby. For those not familiar with their story, the young mother is my friend's daughter, has been one of Hayley's closest friends, and is like a daughter to me as well.

At the age of 14, Crystalyn discovered she was pregnant - the father, Carl, was 16. Now, at the ages of 16 and 17, they have a beautiful baby boy, Seth, and are all doing quite well. Both Mom and Dad are still attending school (unfortunately, Crystalyn will most likely not finish high school with her friends - but WILL hopefully finish), and Carl plans to attend college.

It was great to spend a little time with them yesterday. I hadn't seen Seth since January, I think, when Crystalyn had her 16th birthday party. I miss having Crystalyn hanging out at our place (at one point, she spent more time with us than she did at home).
