Mallard Ducks - Harlow Lake
I think the female was injured. She was limping when she walked. If you look closely, you can see she's not really putting much weight on her right foot.

A very nice observation of the birds.

@Mike: Thanks, Mike.

Shhh, I can almost hear what they're saying. Like the composition and how the red branches border two sides of the frame.

@Mindy: Thanks, Mindy. I could almost hear what they were saying too, except there was too much noise. Between my friend's autistic son (who kept saying "homo", which meant he wanted to go home) and a pair of noisy Canadian geese (also wanting us to go home, I'm sure), I had a hard time hearing much of anything...let alone trying to take photos.

Beth from Rochester, United States

Homo! LOL...that is TOO funny.
I like this photo a lot. The composition and framing are great and you know I love a good duck...even a gimpy one :) The red in the branches against the blue water is very nice.

@Beth: Thanks, Beth. And, unlike SOME people, I probably won't ever change the title. ;^)
