Bronzed Soldiers

Unfortunately, I got distracted before finding out the name (and story) behind this. Found near the Vietnam War Memorial (The Wall). Even if I had read the little sign near the statue, I probably would've forgotten it anyway. History was always one of my weakest subjects.

I too have problems remembering the contents of the placks! So I frequently take a shot of the plack so I have it handy at home. It also allows me to credit the artist for his/her work. This summer I lived in Loveland, Co. They have two shows with hundreds of sculptures on display. It was great fun viewing these works and then talking to the artist that created them.

This sculpture that you captured is fantastic. Your photograph is excellent.

For what it's worth, it's the Three Servicemen Statue by Frederick Hart.
Your photo is much better of course.
