Lighthouse and Waves

Posted by
Kathe (Marquette, Michigan, United States) on 2 September 2009 in Landscape & Rural.

This shot was taken on Saturday (I think) when we had 6-8 foot waves on Lake Superior. Weatherwise, it felt more like October than August.

Beautiful shot. Sorry I haven't been coming by.
We have had some monster waves on Lake Michigan too. Same weather system?
I have no clue. At least it isn't Jeff's recurring hurricane.

@Sarala: Probably the same weather system.

Beautiful shot Kathy and I like the way you framed it. And you're right, fall is almost here...

cheers

@Roman: Thanks, Roman. Yeah, the maples are especially turning color really fast - already have leaves dropping into the yard as well.

Very nice composition. The building adds a nice spot of color.

@B. Thomas: Thanks, Barbara. It was definitely a dreary day - overcast, windy and very rainy. I don't have a rain cover for my camera, so I had to keep shoving it under my jacket (which is why I couldn't use the 70-300mm lens I normally use - it wouldn't fit under my jacket! *LOL*).
