Father and Son

Remember the teen parents? It's hard to believe Seth will be a year old in less than a month! And his father, Carl, will be graduating from high school next June.
Carl asked me to take his Senior pictures today, but the overcast weather made shooting conditions less than desireable - especially considering I don't have the proper equipment for portraitures. AND the fact that I dislike taking portraits at all.

WOW! Much..much too young to be a father. Sweet image!!!

@Marcie: Thanks, Marcie.

Yes, he IS too young to be a father. So is the mother, who is a little over a year younger than him. But they're both doing a great job balancing parenthood and school.

Lovely portrait. Not sure what you mean by overcast weather making the shoot less than desireable. Overcast is wonderful for portraits...soft diffused light, nature's softbox. Saves you from having to buy equipment designed to diffuse light, much like an overcast day.

@Mindy: Then I must be doing something wrong - which wouldn't surprise me. EVERY photo I take on an overcast day comes out wrong - with or without a uv filter.

Cute baby. The very image of his mommy.

@torekimi: Yeah, he's adorable. He looks a lot like his grandma, who has blonde hair and blue eyes. Very Finnish-looking!

I think you succeeded well taking this picture. Take courage we have four teenage parents in our "children's home". They are all doing very well and are responsible parents who enjoy their children.
Yes, they need our help ... and these children are former street children. Enjoy life!

@Mirjam: Thank you, Mirjam. Thankfully, this little boy's parents are also doing very well. His mother is my friend's daughter, my daughter's friend, and like a second daughter to me. So I'm very glad his parents are taking such good care of him AND staying in school.
